Washburn/Burnett Counties 4-H Project Day
When: Saturday November 9th 2024
1:00-4:30 P.M.
Where: Shell Lake High School

Attend three classes, enjoy other activities, and a snack between classes.
$5 fee includes project materials and a snack.
Project Day Classes
Miniature Puff Pets
Lead by Austin Dallager
assisted by Janell Sacharski
Create miniature puff pets of all
shapes, sizes, and types including
square Minecraft pets and round
creatures as wild as your imagination.
Grade: K-2 grade
Min: 3 youth Max: 6 youth
Microwave Fudge
Lead by Beth Rank
The class together will make a few
batches of microwave fudge and
portion each batch into mini muffin
liners. Participants can take the recipes
and treats home to share with others
and make more fudge at home!
Open to all grades
Min: 2 youth Max: 6 youth.
Dance
Lead by Ivy Johnson
Dance is a 4-H project. Join this session
to learn all about it. This fun session will
get participants up and moving to the
beat, all different kinds of them!

Min: 6 youth Max: 12 youth
Photography
Lead by Larry Samson
Join us for a fun introduction to
photography. Learn the basics of taking
award winning photos. We’ll grab a
camera and take some so plan to go
outside! If time allows, try photo editing
too. Bring your own camera if you have
one or one will be provided.

Pom Pom Dogs
Lead by Evalyn Dallager
Participants will learn to make pom
pom dogs during this creative session.
Scissors, yarn, embellishments, one’s
own creativity, what else is needed?
Friends to craft with!
Grade: 3rd grade and up
Min: 3 youth Max: 6 youth
Cookie Decorating
Lead by Angie Anderson
Cookie decorating can be as much fun
as it is to eat them! Participants will
learn cookie decorating techniques to
expand holiday baking options and
maybe get to eat a cookie or two!
Grade: 4th grade and up
Min: 3 youth Max: 6 youth
Kumihimo Braiding
Lead by Terri Johnson
Kumihimo is a Japanese braiding technique that involves interlacing multiple cords of thread to create a single plaited cord using a circular loom. Participants will learn this fun braiding technique and leave with their own loom to continue braiding.
Grade: 3rd grade or must have one-on-one adult help
